Made in the 'Tiffany' copper foil technique to an original design, the glass is hand cut and ground, painted and heat-treated, copper foiled, soldered and finished with tiny handmade wire feet and beak. Solder is then given a smart black patina to make the coloured glass 'pop'. Each piece is lovingly crafted over many hours in the artist's Staffordshire garden studio. These birds are made to be noticed. Place where the light shines through the glass for maximum effect. A sunny windowsill is perfect.
